Creepy Puzzle Time

So my awesome Canasian friend introduced me to this web-based puzzle that is known as ‘torment’.  Or rather, it begins with a book, and depending on where you click leads you to one of two paths; ‘torment’ (the one that I’m doing with my friend) and ‘in from the cold’ (which has piqued my curiosity).

According to the site itself, no one has survived the torment yet, although many forum posters have claimed to have completed the ‘final level’ (if it even exists). Perhaps there is a path that no one has strayed down yet.

I’ve been obsessed with the creepy torment path lately, to the point that I think all the deciphering and map positioning will stick in our minds, only allowing the word ‘torment’ to be uttered by the end of it all. I even illustrated the effect, to my own wine-fuelled amusement.

torment

Kudos to the person/people who made it, for they probably have a mind more twisted than those who persist with it. It’s horrifically addictive though, even if a lot of the imagery and soundscapes are, in my opinion, scarier than the screamers that haunt me each halloween.

PS: it’s Valentines Day soon. Not particularly looking forwards to it at the moment.

This is what I get for playing too much Bioshock

Nameless

I want to make a story that’s set in a city like Rapture, without the desolation and crazy people.
This is the first resident of the city that the main character meets, he thinks she’s a sea monster, but she just loves sea creatures a bit too much.
